Coloured grouts are popular and we have a range in stock. Colours are; Black, Sand Grey, Pearl Grey, and Jura Beige. They are suitable for wall and floor, tiles and our natural collection.

We do stock ready mixed grout. You will only ever see a trade tiler mixing powder grout with water because it is easier to work and gives a better finish. Ready mixed grout is sold to the DIY market as an easy solution.

"Yes you can tile over existing tiles. As a rule use ready mixed acrylic adhesives for walls and single part Rapidflex for floors. It does depend upon your individual circumstances but this is a standard practice and we stock the relevant adhesives in our showrooms. Make sure that the tiles which you are fixing to are secure, our sales staff will be able to advise you further"

No, wall adhesive is not designed to fix floor tiles and in most cases the tile would lift if floor adhesive was not used.

A good guid is:
Walls: Allow one litre of ready mixed adhesive per square metre of tile. Grout will depend on the size of tile.
Floors: A 20kg bag of adhesive will do 6-7 square metres of tiles. Grout will depend on size of tile.

It is better to buy more than you need, rather than run out halfway through the job. We will refund in full any unopend product returned to us with in four weeks.

We recommend that you use HG Grout cleaner to clean grout. It is stocked in all of our showrooms along with a comprehensive range of HG tile cleaning and maintenance products. Full instructions for use are on the back of each bottle.

There are alot of different factors which determine when you can grout. The adhesive needs to have set before you start to grout. This may be during the same day or if you are tiling onto existing tiles you will need to alow a couple of days for drying. All our showroom staff are fully trained by our adhesive supplier and will be able to advise you on your individual circumstances.

Generally speaking you can walk on floor tiles the same day. It is however a good idea to leave them overnight. If you walk on the tiles too soon you will disturb the bond between adhesive and tile which can cause them to lift at some point in the future. All our showroom staff will be happy to advise you on your individual requierments.

For wet areas you require a waterproof adhesive and grout. We have these in stock and all our showroom staff are fully trained by the manufacturer and will be able to advise you.

For adhesive we recommend Sontex single part Rapidflex and for grouting we recommend PCI fast track grout.
